Training courses

Training courses run periodically at various venues in the Leeds and London area.

The Word Whizzer! presenter can also travel to schools or clinic to present to groups of people, such as teachers or speech and language therapists. There are two types of training courses currently running:

• Introductory training course (1hour): Introduction to the research and teaching approach central to the Word Whizzer! tool. Practical activities for using the Word Whizzer! in clinic, home and school
• Advanced training course (3hours): More in-depth discussion of literature and research supporting Word Whizzer! teaching approach. How the Word Whizzer! can be used to target the specific needs of individual children. Case studies presented. Further ideas for using the Word Whizzer! in clinic and classroom (prerequisite; attendance at introductory training course)
